The Sword
The Henry Tuke Champagne Sword is handmade by one of the worlds finest sword smiths. They take two years to make, partially because he has a large amount of work for various royal families, both European and Arab, as well as the traditional methods used.
The blade is made out of stainless Damascus steel and is tempered to be incredibly hard, whilst having the beautiful patterns of Damascus steel. This is highly unusual as most people when sabering use the back of the blade as the edge can not take the pressure of the impact on glass. However ours can go through lots of bottles without a scratch due to the superior materials and construction.
The sword has been exhibited in a closed doors London exhibition for the finest sword manufacturers in a salon privee for collectors. The hilt and fittings are made out of solid silver and the handle out of oak covered in stingray skin (shagreen) the stand is made from mekata and oak from the Roman docks in London which was cut down over a thousand years ago. This comes in a beautiful yew presentation box. We ship in pelican style cases for secure packaging.
To put our sabre to the ultimate test, we took it to Champagne and broke the world record for speed sabering, our Guinness World Record stands at thirty five bottles in a minute. Our beautiful sabre did this without a scratch and is a breath-taking piece that needs to be seen to be believed.
Pricing
